Thomas Monk - Nosferatu - Loremaster - NPC
Thomas is a nosferatu of considerable age if not generation. He is the literal fountain of knowledge. He looks like his features are made of wax, a slightly glossy sheen to his skin, although that wax melted long ago. His face is a mess of jowls and skin flaps. He's known to be a fierce opponent of Ansel within the clan. He dislikes Ansels lord like attitude and his general disregard for the clans traditions. He however can not fault the old lizards effectiveness. He will happily help anyone for a small fee. Often his deep reserves of lore are given out at the cost of something simple, material goods he can't get for himself, other times the favours he asks are more obscure or downright harsh.
Name : Thomas Monk
Player: NPC
Chronicle : Birmingham by Night
Nature : Deviant [Vampire: The Masquerade 20th Anniversary Edition -- Page 90]
The Deviant is a freak, ostracized from society by unique tastes or beliefs that place her outside the mainstream. Deviants are not indolent rebels or shiftless "unrecognized geniuses"; rather, they are independent thinkers who don't quite fit in the status quo. Deviant Archetypes often feel that the world stands against them, and as such reject traditional morality. Some have bizarre tastes, preferences, and ideologies. Extremists, eccentric celebrities, and straight-up weirdoes are Deviant Archetypes. Kindred deviants may observe heretical or outlawed habits like diablerie or deference to elders, and they may well go Anarch or Autarkis instead of having to constantly defend their subversion of Traditions or Sect customs. Regain a point of Willpower any time you are able to flout social mores without retribution.
Demeanor : Fanatic [Vampire: The Masquerade 20th Anniversary Edition -- Page 91]
The Fanatic has a purpose, and that purpose consumes his existence. The Fanatic pours himself into his cause, and he may even feel guilty for undertaking any objective that deviates from his higher goal. To the Fanatic, the end justifies the means -- the cause is more important than those who serve it. Players who choose Fanatic Archetypes must select a cause for their character to further. Revolutionaries, zealots, and sincere firebrands are all examples of Fanatic Archetypes. Kindred Fanatics are often champions for or against a particular aspect of undead society, such as equality among all vampires, the extermination of Anarchs, or stamping infernalism out of the Sword of Caine. Regain a point of Willpower whenever you accomplish some task that directly relates to your cause.

Merits:
Sleep Unseen (2-pt. merit)
You can use the Obfuscate Discipline to hide while you sleep during the day. Such prolonged use of this ability requires an extra blood point to keep your body hidden for a full day. Of course, you must at least be hidden from sunlight, and vampires using the Auspex Discipline can still detect you, but mortals will ignore your very presence. This is a useful Merit for Nosferatu emissaries and travelers; many would perish without it.
Foul Blood (3-pt. Merit)
The vitae flowing through your veins tastes truly awful. Anyone who bites or feeds from you must make a Willpower roll (difficulty 6) or spend the next turn choking, retching and gagging. Any idiot who actually tries to diablerize you must make three Willpower rolls (difficulty 9) to succeed. No spending Willpower to avoid either roll (it tastes that bad).
This makes blood bonds torturous, the Embrace becomes even more difficult, and ghouling is near impossible.
Flaws :
Hard of Hearing (1-pt. flaw)
Your hearing is defective. The difficulties of any die rolls involving the use of hearing are increased by two.
You may not take this with the merit Acute Sense: Hearing or the flaw Deaf.
