again, if I need to fix anything let me know
Jean-Claude LaBelle, born in Saint-Maurice, France in 1696 to parents of noble blood who were favorites in the court of Louis XV. Many titles and monies were granted to them and Jean-Claude was a favorite amongst the noble women of the court. He was always more of a lover than a fighter and would oft times find himself on the receiving end of a husbands rage, but he always managed to talk his way out of it. He caught the eye of the wife of the King's engraver, Marie-Anne Horthemels, who was an engraver and artist by her own right. She also had quite a bit of fame to herself for her engravings of Armand Gaston Maximilien de Rohan, Elizabeth Charlotte(Princess Palantine) and Philippe II, Duke of Orleans. Anyway, they had their little trysts while her husband was busy in other endeavors. The year before she "died" in 1727(really all she did was take on a new name and move to start over, she had been embraced a few years before after child bearing years were done), she gave Jean-Claude the Kiss and he hasn't looked back since cause now he'll be 30 forever.
For awhile Jean-Claude stayed at court until he noticed he wasn't aging and then he felt he had to do what Marie-Anne did so he left, beginning a new life in the new world. Oh it was rich there for one such as himself and he devoted himself to sculpting(he really isn't that good at it but thinks he's wonderful so that's what counts right?) He's still more of a lover but will fight if he has to. He's self confident almost to the point of arrogance.
In the new world he met a woman named Prudence and he fixated on her until she became his ward, his weakness. He never embraced her, just looked after her. She's still a weakness if he sees anyone that might remind him of her, in looks or personality.
He's spent an inordinate amount of time building his library collection because to him, the written word is beautiful. he's been known to go for days without feeding because he gets wrapped in it. In fact he sequestered himself for years at one point just to read, though luckily one of his followers kept him supplied in blood, reminding him to eat. He's just now to the point where he gets out a lot more, socializing and enjoying himself. Though sometimes, a lot of times, he still gets caught up in beauty and will just stare for awhile.
Anyway, he's come to Birmingham simply because he could. bought a house, moved his things in and now..he's looking to enjoy himself once again.
