Camarilla affiliated Clans and bloodlines
Brujah
Clan Brujah are one of the founding clans of Birmingham. They have had a strong presence in the city since before it was a city. They have considerable sway with the local city council, many of them are of what the colonial brujah refer to as old school. They are warrior philosophers many of them have links to the massively growing restaurant and eatery trade. They practically run Chinatown and the gay district immediately off it. They use it as a source of revenue and a relatively safe hunting ground that is always busy. The restaurants are full almost every night as are the two streets swarming with gay bars.
Caitiff
Unlike many cities caitiff those of birmingham are some of the fortunate few. The Prince doesn't have them exterminated on sight. HE doesn't exactly treat them as equals either but such is the life of a clanless waif and stray. They hold no official power, they do have a few small holdings. One notable one, even has an endorsed pseudo elysium. The gym on the old dockyards acts as a venting space and a meeting ground for the younger disaffected kindred. The caitiff who runs it is old for his kind and rather worldly wise. Any clanless would be wise to heed his advice.
Gargoyles
Officially up until now there are no free gargoyles in birmingham. There have been rumours over the years to the contrary, the occasional dark shape in the sky, the mysterious downing of several german bombers during the war over a section of city not particularly well protected by AA guns. The Tremere when questioned on the subject will clearly tell you that there are no free gargoyles in the city.
Malkavian
The Malkavians have never been the most organised of groups. Those that reside in birmingham tend to live on the outskirts of the city. Many will happily take part in the game of politics yet none so far have stepped up and requested a seat on the primogen council. The role is somewhat accidentally filled by an Elder Malkavian called Mr Merchant. A recluse and one who's memory isn't quite what it used to be. He is however considered the leading Malkavian of the city.
Nosferatu
The nosferatu are a major power bloc in the city. They are led by Ansel. His word is law as far as many of the clan are concerned. A wily old beast he keeps his Haven in moore street station, a small railway station long ago replaced by New Street. Although during the day the station operates several smaller services there is a large siding left unused. This holds a series of out of use carriages and a broken down old steam engine that is more rust and rats nest than actual train. The Nosferatu as always are in the business of information, bare in mind though that it was the nosferatu who put the prince on his throne and that little favour has given them a lot of leeway ever since.
Toreador
The toreador have a serious interest in birmingham, although it is no london and doesn't have quite the same history of great works of art, it does house several notable museums and concert halls. They hold a lot of sway in what is now known as the jewelery quarter, several businesses there are run by members of the toreadors herds and ghouls. Several are regular elysium regulars and the majority of the cities Harpies are known to be of clan toreador although they are not the only clan represented in those bitchy ranks.
Tremere
The tremere are considered by many to be the primary opposition power to the current regime. They have a major chantry underneath the "new" library in the city centre and several smaller private chantries in the out lying suburbs. There has been a recent power change within the clan. There of course are many rumours spread around the city. That the former regent was an infernalist, that the former high ranking tremere were destroyed by a stealth infiltration team of nosferatu on Ansels orders as he'd finally had enough of them. Another is that the tremere were wiped out by a rabid monster of their own creation. This one is given a lot of credit due to the sheriff (a renowned creator of ghouled minions) being the only member of the old regime to still be in residence.
Ventrue
The ventrue were late arrivals to the city as far as the kindred population are concerned. They had had a small presence in Dudley and hadn't paid any real notice until the 1800's when the industrial revolution kicked off. Their involvement in the politics is noted elsewhere. However these nights they are represented on the primogen council and are majoritively in favour of the regime, although it is often said that the Ventrue vote is the council swing vote.
