Many of our players are likely to be from outside of the UK, a lot of them american. This isn't an issue, however it does mean that the american idea of a city is very different to that of the british idea of a city. Sure they are both over crowded places rammed full of cars buildings people and in this case monsters. So with the marvels of modern Technology I'm going to give you a little tour of the highlights of this modern and messy british city.
So lets start with the way most people would enter the city .....
New Street Station
From the outside this is the front door. It's currently under refurbishment and it will if the hype is to be believed it'll be a beautiful butterfly of mirrors and steel. However at the moment it is mostly a drab leftover from the 1960's. Opposite the station is one of the many entrances to the large shopping centre known as the Bullring Shopping Centre it's roughly equivalent to an american mall. It contains mostly shops and restaurants even the odd mcdonalds or two. There are no bars inside it.
A few minutes walk either through or around the shopping centre brings you out onto the open air shopping area on the New Street. This contains the majority of the cities big stores. It will continue for several hundred meters before ending at Victoria Square this is where the City Council house is, the seat of local mortal government. The fictional Goldleaf Club is set here, just off Victoria Square.
Moor Street Station
Moor Street in our version of Birmingham is the home to the Nosferatu Primogen Ansel Kaufmann. In our version of Moor Street we've added an additional siding that contains a vintage Steam train and a few carriages which are "museum pieces". This is the haven of Ansel. This station doesn't do major routes, its the station that connects to smaller towns in the surrounding area.
